Several misunderstandings of bedding care
Alkaline cleaner or 84 disinfectant can accelerate the fading.
Many cleaners say that they have a super decontamination effect, and if you want to achieve a super decontamination effect, the detergent will have more alkaline substances; if you choose a strong decontamination effect, it is definitely not neutral The cleaning agent, even if the description is a neutral cleaning agent, you must choose it carefully, otherwise it will easily fade and fade.
Some people like to use 84 to wash the bed. This situation directly results in a large area of yellowing or fading. Because 84 disinfectant is a strong alkaline substance, it is corrosive to a certain extent. It can not only remove dirt or disinfect, but also whiten the fabric.
When some people wash the bedding, they drop the detergent directly on the fabric and then put water to wash. This method is very wrong; the detergent has not been diluted with water, even if it is neutral, it is corrosive to a certain extent. Such drop on the cloth, after the water is fully diluted, the cloth has a chemical reaction locally, causing it to fade or turn yellow.
Therefore, many times we will see the fabric fade, turn yellow, or turn white or partially yellow.
Strong and long-lasting washing will only make the fabric thinner.
When you are busy, it usually takes about 1 month to wash the bed. If you are worried about not washing it, you usually choose to wash it more than once. This method is not advisable!
With the continuous development of new home textile fabrics, such as pure cotton, tencel, hemp, plush, bamboo fiber, polyester cotton, etc., have become our commonly used bedding fabrics, and due to their water absorption capacity, strength, cohesion, raw fiber There are big differences in chemical and other aspects, so the requirements for washing time are also different.
For example: Tencel, bamboo fiber, modal and other fabrics are smooth, fiber cohesion is poor, fibrillation degree is high, and wetting power is low. If the washing time is too long, mechanical force will cause thin edges (washing broken) in the fabric stitching. The phenomenon, especially summer mats, is more serious.
Therefore, the best way is to control the washing time at about 40 minutes. If possible, it is best to choose hand washing or washing with a laundry bag. The fabric will also have the problem of fibrosis: pilling! The original fabric is smooth, and the fibers begin to fluff and entangle each other into hair balls.
Hot water cannot decontaminate but can only reinforce dirt.
Many people think that high temperature is a way to remove dirt, but you are wrong; if you simply use high temperature to wash a lot of dirt without knowing what the substance is, the result may be permanent dirt, which can no longer be washed. Lose. For substances such as sweat, milk, blood stains, etc., hot water must not be used.
Exposure will only accelerate the aging of fabric dyeing.
Usually when washing the bedding, the older generations will say: wash the bedding today, and bring out the sun! It seems that only the big sun is coming out and it is a good time to wash the bed, but this kind of thinking is wrong.
It is not so much different in material, as it is ordinary pure cotton fabric, which is easy to cause fading (whitening and yellowing) and increased shrinkage (because pure cotton has strong water absorption ability, and sudden high temperature drying can easily cause shrinkage); even more so. Materials with strong water absorption capacity, such as Tencel, Modal, hemp, etc.; and silk is easy to turn yellow and brittle when exposed to the sun.
